teacher leading an immersive, one-on-one
experience
From the very beginning we worked
to turn this vision into reality.
On-screen tutor and team leader Sonia
Gil, a recent Cornell graduate, and
other alumni from Harvard and the
University of Chicago, sought out
the right technology to deliver the
magic of great one-on-one learning.
Anyone who has tried to learn Spanish
knows about "the magical moment,"
that day out in the real world when
you can form a full sentence and actually
understand the response. By clearly
showing how Spanish works in a way
that makes the most sense to English
speakers, Fluenz tutor Sonia Gil and
her team have created a path through
the language leading to fluency.
Just as importantly, she explains
how Spanish works in terms of cultural
issues, providing context and anecdotes
that make the process meaningful.
By making sense of the language, learners
actually learn.
